With the stem done, we move on
to the rose. We’ve masked off
the stem and exposed only
the flower

It’s very time consuming.
We’re using the tip of the
X-Acto to put the pieces back on
to cover other areas from overspray

Now we mask off everything
but the tribal design protecting
the rose and stem
Spraying a light coat of black on for the tribal gives me the
lines to follow. Using 3M fine line tape, I go around all the tribal to give it a nice crisp outline. Once the fine line is all in place, mask off everything but the tribal area, and then spray in the black. This could have been done masking the entire image, then cutting out the tribal, but I like to try not to cut on the tank if I don’t have to.
